After I left a corporate career, I was trying to decide how to fill my time with purpose while figuring out what my next career move would be. While trying to decide, I picked up the camera for a creative outlet. Simultaneously, I got involved with animal rescue, specifically Westbury CARE. Along with fostering dogs for the rescue, I was offering to help take pictures of all the fosters in the rescue in order to help their chances for adoption. Through the experience of volunteering for the animal rescue, I found myself not just growing as a person, but also as a photographer. I decided that it was time to turn my passion into a living! Not only do I still donate my time and volunteer for the rescue, but I have also become a foster failure. Twice. Meet Brownie & Velvet.
